Tommy Robinson is the founder of the English Defence League, a far-right group that opposes the spread of Islam into the United Kingdom. On Friday, a hearing was being held in the UK accusing 29 men of sexually exploiting women and children. Robinson was quick to note that eight of these men were named Mohammed, which led him to host a livestream outside of the court house where he harassed several Muslim defendants as they entered. “Do you feel no shame? Are you shameful,” Robinson shouted at the men.
After the men entered the court, Robinson continued ranting on his live-stream, which has now been viewed four million times on Facebook. He solely demonized the Muslims being accused. “Hundreds of young girls are being gang raped across our country. People need to know what is going on… Mohammed, oh another Mohammed… He’s charged with three counts of rape.”
Today, Robinson was sentenced to 13 months in jail for contempt of court, prejudicing a court case. Sources close to Robinson let Bernard Media know his true intentions, “The Tommy Robinson stuff is fake news. He got himself arrested on purpose because he’s on probation and any little thing would put him away. The stunt was done on purpose to cry victim for free speech.”
The tactic seems to have worked as members of the far-right from Geert Wilders to Roseanne Barr jumped to his defense.
