Ben Shapiro has decided to place the blame on Hillary Clinton for the separation of children from their families at the southern border. Today, Clinton made a statement on the issue. “This is not happening because of the ‘Democrats’ law,’ as the White House has claimed. Separating families is not mandated by law at all. That is an outright lie.”
Shapiro immediately jumped on the opportunity to divert attention from Trump and the GOP by publishing an article titled, “Hillary Calls Trump A Liar, Unchristian Over Family Separation In Immigration Policy.” In the piece, Shapiro attempts to justify the GOP’s stance on ripping children from their families by critiquing Clinton, not the policy itself. “Of course, she’s wrong. And she’s lying. The law does mandate that if you arrest an illegal immigrant with children, the children not be held in custody for longer than 20 days. The other choice is to release entire families.”
The entire GOP media, not just Shapiro, ran from the child separation issue today. Ann Coulter, a frequent Shapiro collaborator, went on Fox News to claim that the immigrant children seen on TV were actually crisis actors. “I get very nervous about the president getting his news from TV. This kids are being coached, they’re being given scripts.”

Conservative commenters watching the media circus unfold were astonished. “I’ve never seen anything like it. These people are doing cartwheels to avoid the child separation issue, and for what? So we can have concentration camps like the Nazis? Really bad.”
Shapiro’s immigration stance is an open, on-going Bernard Media investigation. More information will be provided as it is made available.
